Nutmeg was looking for her forever home at an adoption event when her new mom, Alexia, and her daughter spotted little Nutmeg. They weren’t expecting to adopt a dog but it was love at first sight!

After adopting Nutmeg, the new family took her for a routine check-up and she unfortunately tested positive for heartworm. Being a single mom, Alexia was not sure that she could afford to have Nutmeg treated. The grant they received from the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation helped get Nutmeg treated and back to being a happy healthy pup!
